A great way to save money each month is by optimizing your utility use. Most of us keep a fairly regular routine as to when we are home and when we are out working, shopping, socializing, etc. The fact is, our homes don't need to be at a temperature we are comfortable with during the 13 hours we may be gone ever Monday. On the other hand, dropping the temperature too extremely and then needing to raise it by many degrees at one time is also inefficient. Programming can help keep everything balanced so you are comfortable when you are home, but don't waste money and energy when you're not home.
There are great thermostats on the market that can be programmed to save energy and cost when you're not around. They can even be adjusted through apps on your smartphone and tablets or Alexa devices etc.
I love this eco bee thermostat and on average it saves 23% of annual heating and cooling costs!
