Checking your bank and credit card statements carefully can help you to save money by catching erroneous charges or subscription membership dues you may be overlooking. Sometimes, unfortunately, you may need to file a dispute with a company. The good news is that it does not have to be painful. In fact, many companies make it simple to do online without ever having to pick up a phone and wait on hold. Here's how to file a dispute online if you have a Discover Card.
Step One: Log In To Your Discover Account
Step Two: Click on "Inbox" (see red arrow below)
Step Three: Click "Compose New Message" (see red arrow below)
Step Four: Click "Compose" (see red arrow below)
Step Five: In the Category drop-down menu, select "My Disputes" (see red arrow below)
Step Six: Select "Initiate Dispute" (see red arrow below)
Step Seven: Fill out the Dispute Form and let Discover do their thang!
I have had great success with this useful feature on Discover's website. I recently had to submit a dispute and found Discover's Customer Service to handle the situation excellently. (Read about it in my Customer Service Series in the Tried It! tab)
