The map comes in a nice, sturdy cardboard tube which is great for keeping it in good condition if you ever have to move. I recommend laying it out with some heavy booked at the corners when you first take it out of the tube to reduce the curling a little bit. The initial curling can make it difficult to hang solo. I hung mine with the blue poster hanging putty that my elementary school teachers always used lol (something like this)
A unique feature of this Wolf's House map is that it includes a scratch off tool for precision scratching. ;) And at the bottom of the map it has scratch off flags which is also a neat feature. large countries such as USA, Canada, and Australia include state borders so you can just scratch off each state more easily as you visit instead of the whole massive territory when you have only been to one small corner of the country.
Some countries onthe map also have fun little details on the Gold layer showing some animals of the area or famous landmarks etc which is kind of fun!
One thing to note is that it has a strong factory scent when you first take it out of the package. So it needs some air out time if you're sensitive to smells like that. (I ran my Vornado fan)
Also, a little confused about the order of the country flags listed at the bottom - seemingly alphabetical, but actually not alphabetical when you look closely.
I love these maps! They are so fun if you love to travel and make a great gift for a traveler you know. It also looks nice without being scratched off, so you make like it framed just as a piece of decor.
