A few years back I had a complex migraine. Have you heard of it? It's not just a bad headache. It affects you much the way a stroke does. In fact, they were concerned I had a stroke. Fortunately, I did not. And Fortunately when you have a complex migraine the stroke-like symptoms usually revert unlike with a true stroke. I was trying to speak, but I couldn't get the words in my brain to come out of my mouth. Scary stuff. I never wanted it to happen again. So when my neurologist prescribed COQ10 as a non-rx migraine preventative, I was game to try it. That was about 4 years ago. When I take this consistently, I feel excellent. Combined with proper rest and hydration, I rarely get headaches now compared to daily headaches. The key is to keep taking it!
CoQ10 is an antioxidant which increases your energy and is great for your health. It is typically present in the mitochondria of your cells. This is where your cells develop energy. Which is why mitochondria is called the powerhouse of the cell.
According to the national institute of health, coq 10 has been widely used to treat:
- neuromuscular diseases
- Alzheimer's disease
- Parkinson's disease
- Progressive supranuclear palsy
- Autosomal Recessive Cerebellar ataxias
- Huntington's disease
- ALS - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
HUGE TIP: In most cases coq10 is not covered by your insurance, however if your doctor prescribes it, they can fill out a medical necessity for this supplement like mine has and you can purchase it from an account like an FSA account.
I received a bottle for free from OptimalXT to test and review. This COq10 has 100 per capsule. This is a common dose. The bottle is well sealed with plastic on the outside as well as a paper/foil seal and a cotton puff. I was surprised they came in capsule form as the other brands I have tried have all been soft gels. Nonetheless, the capsules are slender and easy to swallow.
Always check with your doctor when you start taking new supplements to make sure it is safe with your current supplements and prescriptions!
I hope the research and my personal opinion have been informative and beneficial to you. :o)

This is such a great packing cube! The color I chose, green, is stunning! It's my favorite olive-y shade of green and it has a subtle honeycomb type pattern on the fabric with a slight sheen. The mesh panel is perfect for quickly identifying what is in the bag.
Packing cubes are super for packing for trips, obviously. They keep your suit case neat and orderly, very organized. It keeps some general structure and shape compared to vacuum bags which end up very oddly shaped with weird bumps all over.
This could be used for:
- make up
- electronics and cords
- camera gear
- art supplies
- gym bag
- organizing storage in your closet (great because it keeps it organized AND allows breathing through the mesh)
Very impressed with this packing cube for the style and quality of the material and ease of use.
I received this product for free to test out and review. I hope the video has been helpful for you to see the product in "real life" and an idea for how you an use it.
Can you think of any other ways to use a packing cube like this?

Cellulite is an irritating reality for nearly 98% of women according to some researching dermatologists. Did you read that right? Yes. 98% of women! Obviously some cases are more extreme than others, but ultimately that means almost everyone has cellulite to some extent. UGH.
The good news is, we are all in the same boat. It's not about being overweight. Super skinny people can and do have cellulite also. I think knowing how many people (like... everyone) deal with this can help you to be less self conscious.
Still, it is nice that there are products like this that can help. It's not that the cellulite magically disappears, but the *appearance* will be very much improved! The act of massaging with or without a product helps to increase blood circulation to that area and that can help the appearance of cellulite also.
There are a lot of great natural ingredients in this that are good for your skin.
The key is to be consistent. If you consistently use this product, you will find an improvement in the appearance of your cellulite! No doubt. But if you use it once or twice and that's it, don't expect to have smooth legs, thighs, butt, whatever. Or if you use the whole container and never use it again... also don't expect to forever have a smoother appearance. Like anything, it takes time and diligence to maintain. I think that is true with this cream and any other similar products.
Some things I really like about this NuElle creme are:
* The container with the pump dispenser. So many creams are in a tub where you scoop it out. I like this much better.
* Other creams are menthol-y like bengay or tylenol precise or something like those muscle rubs. Not everyone likes the smell or feel of those. This cream is not like that. It has a totally different feel, which I prefer.
This is great to add to your bed time regimen. I think thats a convenient time to slather a cream on, balm your lips, rub and moisturize your feet, and enjoy some pampering time. Seriously, though, when you give yourself that time... you sleep sooooo good. And in the morning you will feel great and look great!
I received this for free to review, but I hope my comments have made sense and been insightful for you. I also made a short video where I (attempt) to read off some of the ingredients so you can just listen to some of the interesting ingredients in the product instead of staring at a long list of little letters. hehe. Enjoy!

Hands down, french pressed coffee is the BEST way to enjoy a cup of coffee. You will enjoy a much better flavor and also the experience is so much more special when you grind the beans whole, coarsely, smelling that energizing smell! Make sure you follow the instructions for the coffee to water ratio. That's one of the hugest mistakes people make when brewing coffee. I mean.. make it how you enjoy it, but the most ideal way for the best flavor is:
TWO rounded tablespoons per 8oz of water.
You're going to wait about 3-4 minutes for the coffee to brew. Some people leave it longer for a stronger taste.
When the time is up, plunge and pour!
* The water needs to be hot, around 200 degrees, but you don't want it to be full on boiling because if water is too hot, the press could actually shatter. Which would be horrifying! Not a big deal, but just be aware and be careful.
* To prepare the press rather than just pouring in near boiling water into a cold press, I often fill it with hot water from my sink while I grind the beans and heat the actual water I'm using. That way the temp is already warmer than just pouring into the press when the glass is cold. If that makes sense?
* When you plunge PLEASE be sure that the screen is facing AWAY from you! It once happened to me in a coffee shop I worked at that I was standing near a coworker who was making a french press of coffee and she did not do this. When she plunged, the hot coffee sprayed out of that screen and into my face. Literally. It was horrible. Fortunately I did not get any major burns or anything, but I always warn people about that. Even if you don't get hurt... an innocent bystander may. lol
French Pressed coffee is so enjoyable, and whether you make it daily or not, you feel like it's a special day when you have a cup. Your friends and dinner party will enjoy seeing the process, smelling the ground beans, and drinking a rich cup of coffee with their dessert. (or without!)
The lux essentials french press has a stylish design with the black pattern on it. The mesh plunger seems very snug which is crucial so the grounds stay at the bottom and don't float through and into your glass. The package comes with a coffee scoop as well as a replacement mesh screen. Perfect for getting started with french press coffee or for a gift.

I got this lion mane for free to review.
I put it on an adorable Manx cat that I know and it was sooooo cute! The cat was purring away while getting extra attention.
When I walked out of the room for a few minutes, the cat was walking really weird. Poor guy was trying to pull the costume over his head to get it off I bet it was too hot. The #lionmane costume has velcro under the chin so it would be hard for him to get off on his own!!
Of course, I immediately removed it.
This is so cute, and is great to take some pictures. Please give your animals extra TLC - they have earned it by wearing this to amuse you. Don't make them uncomfortable by leaving it on for a long time!! #lessonlearned

If you love Earl Grey tea.... You will love using this essential oil!
I have been enjoying it in my diffuser. I no longer need to buy chemical-laden room sprays because I can just use my diffuser with essential oils and get nice scents and health benefits as well!
This has a unique citrusy smell and comes from Italy.
It's cold pressed from the peel of the bergamot orange.
Ideas for using it from the company:
Diffuse for emotional and mental benefits
massage diluted for physical ailments
I think it would be interesting to add this to a natural deodorant for the scent and the natural deodorizing properties.
In addition to the oil uses itself, the company donates a significant amount of their profits to various non-profits. My bottle indicated 7.5%, but the company is now indicating 13%. I'm not sure if that is an adjustment and my label is not up to date, or if the % varies, but it really seems that 13% is the current rate and the cause relates to human trafficking. Helping victims as well as educating providers and people to help victims of human trafficking. It's always nice to know your purchase is helping your family and someone else.
I received this bottle for free to test and review. Still, I hope my opinion and research have been helpful!

There is nothing more dangerous than a DULL knife. When a knife is dull, you use way too much pressure to cut with it, and when it doesn't pierce the object you want to cut, it may slip and pierce you instead. No body needs that!!!
The Wrenwane Knife Sharpener offers two stages of sharpening.
First, for really dull knives, use the side labeled "coarse". These sharpening rods are made of tungsten carbide.
Second, for regular resharpening use the slot labeled "fine" which has ceramic sharpening rods.
The handle is ergonomic and easy to hold onto while you sharpen.
This sharpener is considerable smaller than another one I own, which means it is easier to store!!
Please remember this is NOT for serrated knives or scissors. Please do not try to sharpen them in this sharpener.
Try to sharpen your knives regularly. If possible before or after each use. (Either way, they would be sharp when you go to use them next)
It really only takes a moment, but will save you a lot of effort trying to cut with a dull knife and may save you an accident also.
This sharpener was provided to me at no cost, to test out and review.
Essential Oils can be powerhouses of health and well being benefits in a tiny 15ml bottle.
Peppermint oil is no exception in that way. If you're wondering how you can use it, here are just a few of the many ways:
Reduce stomach aches
Improves mental focus and concentration
Clear Respiratory tract
Release Tight, tense muscles
Expectorant providing relief for colds, sinusitis, bronchitis
Reduces hunger cravings
add it to shampoo to invigorate you and combat dandruff and lice
Bug repellent - ticks, mosquitos, spiders, ants, cockroaches, mice, and lice do not like it
Balancing hormones especially for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Cancer Treatment - research regarding prostate cancer
So many uses and benefits!
This peppermint essential oil comes in 15ml dark amber bottle with the built in dropper lid. It does wonderfully in a diffuser.
Some essential oils, although beneficial, smell strange. And that makes them harder to use.
To me, peppermint is a familiar and refreshing smell so I love getting this essential oil! It is probably my favorite essential oil yet! I'm diffusing it in the room right now!

I wore this neck warmer all day today. I chose the "abstract modern" because I thought it gave some visual interest without being too wildly colored or patterned that it would be difficult to wear. I paired it with a black and gray outfit today so it looked spot on. What i love is the fleece lining of this neck warmer. Not only does it add, of course, a lot of warmth, but it also feels soft against your skin. I think this is great to wear when you want some warmth but not the bulk of a big scarf. Also, when it's extremely cold out you could wear this UNDER a scarf. This way you would have the warmer closest to your neck, really sealing in the body heat, and then the scarf for added warmth. I plan to use this method as the winter progresses.
This is a versatile product though, because you could also use it like a headband, beanie, mask, ear warmer, or anything else you come up with!
While I chose abstract modern, I also have my eye on kaleidoscope and delhi for more funky choices!

Leftovers or packing lunches are great ways to save money and eat healthier. These containers have three separated compartments which allow you to keep your foods separate and also to control portions. Score!
Store hot or cold foods in these containers, up to 33 ounces.
Microwave and dishwasher safe - They are actually safe up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit!
There are grooves on the bottoms so that they will rest nicely on top of each other to stack. They don't actually CLICK into place, but that is kind of a good thing because sometimes, when you're in a hurry especially, it's a nuisance to try to pry two containers apart without causing a scene.
Speaking of prying containers... don't try it with these. I was too excited to open the lid (and it was on there gooood) that I actually cracked the rim of one of them. Maybe it was a total fluke, but it can happen. It happened to me.
Regardless, I think these containers are nice to have on hand for yourself or the family, but I also love the idea of sharing a meal with someone so these are perfect to give someone a meal in and if they don't return the container... not a huge deal!
