Sweetsation Therapy sent me their tinted sunscreen to test and review. The product can be found on amazon at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002ERSS6U
It offers 30 SPF broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection.
The active ingredients are Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide.
Some other interesting ingredients in this include:
Green tea, CoQ10, hyaluronic acid, pineapple, papaya extract, sea kelp, tomato, and a bunch of other fruit oils/extracts and plant oils.
Pineapple and Papaya: Mild exfoliation to shed dead skin cells
Sea Kelp: Hydration
Ellagic Acid: Antioxidant in raspberries and cranberries that protects against UV damage by blocking enzymes that break down collagen.
Tomato: Antioxidants like tocopherols (vitamin E). Also Omega 3,6,9, lycopene, copper, iron, manganese, and zinc which treat and precent signs of aging in the skin and reduce UV damage.
When I first applied this it had the classic smell of sunscreen to my nose, however it fades significantly in a few moments. I also appreciate that it is tinted because I think we all hate the white cast you get from sunscreen so any help to combat that is greatly appreciated!
It absorbs quickly and is not greasy and it really is moisturizing. I can see a difference from one hand that I applied it to verses another hand that I did not apply it to.
Remember to apply sunscreen 15 minutes before you go in the sun and reapply it regularly. Sun damage is nothing to mess around with between the way it damages your skin and the increasing prevalence of skin cancer. Use sunscreen friends!!!!!
