Have you ever noticed how some people with great jobs can never afford to travel?
What's more, have they ever made you feel awkward because you can and do travel? Well.. hopefully not. But if they have, you're not alone. I have a theory that I am sure many other people share and the theory is this: You have (or find) money for what is important to you. I feel that in the majority of circumstances this is true. The same person who can't take a trip may have a huge and beautiful house with a large mortgage payment, high taxes and utility bills. Or maybe they have luxury vehicles with astronomical increases in their monthly car payment and insurance. Or the techie. Always with the new iPhone, iPad, iMac, MacBook Pro, etc etc. When your electronic devices become so numerous that you can have a spare one in every room of your humungo house and in your luxury vehicles, complete with data to binge watch a TV show from 15 years ago that you never heard of before and are only mildly interested in...... </ramble> Don't get me wrong!!! There's nothing wrong with choosing to spend your money on a lovely home, fancy cars, lots of tech, or whatever! The point is that it is a choice. Most people choose some of the things listed above, to some extent. I choose to travel because I love experiencing other cultures, overcoming obstacles and unexpected turns of events in the course of travel. I love having an interesting, embarrassing, funny story to tell to little kids back home that will fill them with laughter and wonder about the world that surrounds them. I love travel. And ironically enough, I never thought I would when I was young. But that's another story. You've probably heard that "A penny saved it a penny earned" Every little bit counts. And every little bit helps you to fund your travel or really, whatever way you like to spend your money. Check back for ways I save pennies to help fund what makes me happy! You'll realize, you don't necessarily have to have a lot of money to travel. You just have to approach life in a different way. 8-) Thanks for visiting & See ya soon! ;-)
