Bathrooms in Bangkok vary. Some have sprayers and toilet paper. Some have no toilet paper but do have sprayers. Some have toilet paper but no sprayer. Some have no soap. No paper towels. Some have no sprayer and no toilet paper…… wait. What? Okay always check the stall before you get involved in your business. There may not be someone next to you who can “spare a square” or would even understand if you said that hahaha.
If there is no toilet paper in the stall, even if there are dispensers, it may be that there is toilet paper outside of the stall. I have seen what looks like a napkin dispenser on the wall. Before entering the stall you get the toilet paper you will need (how do you know?!) an then you’re ready to go.
I have also seen where you purchase the toilet paper like in this machine: 3 baht. I’m not sure how much toilet paper that gets you. But I learned to always keep a pack oftravel sized tissues with me. They served to blow my running nose, act as toilet paper, and create a barrier between blistered skin and shoes I thought were comfortable but turned out to be uncomfortable……. Just a heads up about the bathroom situation :) I hope all the ones you go to are fully kitted out! 8) More From Thailand:
