I tried it, and you shouldn't: Putting Your GoStack In the Dishwasher (the wrong way) -- EEK!

This is what happens when you have a lazy moment and you ignore your nose...

So I wondered if the Blender Bottle Go Stacks were dishwasher safe. I think they are! The Amazon product page says so, although it's not imprinted on the cup. Usually i would put these small cups in the silverware area of the dishwasher so they can stay in the little basket. For some reason I decided it would be safer on the "top rack". Some time later I smelled a burning smell in my house. I checked everything - oven, stove top, furnace, I couldn't find anything. The dishwasher was on it's dry cycle. I ignored it all.

When I went to unload the dishwasher I found the culprit - one of my Go Stack containers! It fell off the top rack, onto the heating element of the dishwasher and was melting/burning steadily through the cycle. EEP! 

Sad moment because I love these containers. They are fun, I like the colors and varying sizes, they are great for bringing assorted snacks with you places. But lessons learned. 

1. Don't be lazy. ( I could have hand washed! ) 
2. Make sure your Go Stack is in a secure place in the dishwasher before running. 
3. If you smell burning and you check everything except your running dishwasher...... *eyeroll* 

PS I did wash others at the same time and they made it out unscathed. Unfortunately this was my favorite size because it was perfect for my vitamins! (When I actually do a good job taking them) :p
