Phipps Conservatory is a great place to visit whether you're visiting Pittsburgh or live in the area. Because they have constantly changing themes, seasonal exhibits, events and activities, you can visit this place many times without feeling bored, in my opinion. Unless you flat out do not like botany. Here's just a small sample of some of the amazingly gorgeous sites you may see at Phipps! Chihuly GlassDon't forget to keep your eyes peeled for gorgeous Chihuly Glass works of art throughout Phipps Conservatory. Visiting PhippsYou can check the Visit and Explore page for updated information, but at the time I am positing this here is the deal:
I actually got a membership this year which is a great value if you can come back multiple times throughout the year. The membership I have (There are quite a few to choose from) is called Family/Household Plus. For $125 you can get unlimited admission for three adults and up to 4 children under age 18! If you went once with 3 adults ($45) and 4 children aged 2-18 ($44) You would pay admission of $99 already! So even if you just go twice, you've already made it worth it. Membership also gives you discounts on classes and events, and discounts in the Shops which is nice. Side Note: I think the $11 admission for a 2 year old is a little crazy.... does anyone else? Sorry, Phipps. It should be at least 5 or 6 years old, and I don't even have kids! What age do you think places should start charging admission for children? Visiting Pittsburgh?
