I bought a new mythical product!
If you're a long time visitor you may remember way back when I picked up Link's Peculiarly Perfect Peanut Butter Peppermint Lip Balm (see post here). Since that time I have enjoyed supporting a channel (well, 2 channels) that brings me chuckles almost every day of the week (GMM and GMMore) with the purchase of some other products which I will link at the bottom of this post.
The highest end product I have purchased is the newMythical No. 9 unisex fragrance.
I ordered this product on January 13th. It did not ship until January 18th and arrived on January 24th. I am so used to ordering Prime 2-day shipping eligible items that for it to take 10 days to receive an item I order from Amazon felt absolutely painful, especially after paying an additional shipping fee.
The fragrance comes in a sturdy cardboard tube that has a great golden geometric design set to pop against a flat black background.
The fragrance bottle looks excellent with the most special feature of course being the wooden lid. Love that!
I can't decide how I feel about the sent itself. The description is Tree bark, Blood Orange, Amber Resin, and Patchouli. When I first received it I felt the scent was leaning a little toward masculine versus unisex. When I wear the scent it almost gives me a mild headache, but at the same time it is intriguing and I want to keep smelling it. Isn't that weird? I think I would love this more if it had a bit more of the blood orange coming through.
Overall this is an interesting scent. You take a gamble when you buy a scent online based on the description only. I view it as a way to support internetainment, but I wish I liked it more for the price point that I did pay. I will probably rarely wear this as it makes me feel oddly self-conscious maybe because I am wondering if other people think I smell too manly? Or if they are thinking "hmm, that smells kind of weird... but I kind of like it... and I can't stop tying to smell it to understand it..."
Basically, jury is still out on this. The packaging is great, love the design and quality. The fragrance is definitely unique to anything I have tried and it is long lasting. The shipping was not impressive to me.
Have you tried Mythical No 9 fragrance? What did you think?
