So your in port on the Aruba and wondering how you should spend you day. Here's how I spent one day in Aruba: One Day on Aruba:We picked up a UTV (has a roof) at George’s Cycles. This type of vehicle is necessary to see some of the terrain in Aruba. Unfortunately we felt the condition of the vehicle at George’s did not merit it’s high price. Oh well. The natural pools are in the National park. For some reason few people mention that there is a fee to enter the park and see these natural pools. Also, many rentals don’t allow you to go to the natural pools with their vehicles. Unfortunately some irresponsible renters always ruin it for the others. The good news is there is another lesser known natural pool you can visit. You can see the sturdy ladder someone built to get down to it. You will need to do some climbing on some rocks which made me nervous, especially with an audience of crabs surrounding me. Don’t worry, the crabs scatter away from you quickly! Once I got in the pool it was a neat experience. If you can find it, check it out. But be careful. There’s also a California Lighthouse if you’re into that. You must find the Pastechi House and try a Pastechi! We had to park a little bit away and walk back to it. This is in the town where the ship docks. And here are just a few more pics! The day overall?I enjoyed the day on Aruba. I would not rent the UTV again. It was difficult getting around the town area and I did not feel it was a good value for money. I am glad to have seen some of the unique terrain and gone “off roading” on Aruba. Now having seen and done that, if I return to the island I would love to do segways and horseback riding and spend some time on their beautiful beaches! Some Other Ideas:Curious About the Other Ports on This Cruise?About This Cruise:I booked a veranda room on the Celebrity Eclipse Exotic Southern Caribbean cruise through Best Price Cruises. They had the best price/OBC at the time of booking and they were very responsive to any questions I had. I would book through them again!
