When In Thailand…. Eat pad Thai, am I right? The quintessential Thai dish that everyone back home knows and loves no matter where home us. (Almost)
So we love that there is a little food zone so close to where we stayed at Ideo Mobi Onnut Sukhumvit 81. If you exit the building and walk to the right you’ll cross an alley which is busy with mototaxis- be careful!) and its where you walk up to the BTS station. Keep walking and along the right you will see some vendors of goods and food. Keep walking a bit further and you’ll come to a square on the right that you can walk in. The first thing to greet you will be the fried chicken lady straight ahead and the fruit guy to the right. Walk in here… There are a lot of food stands here and you can order food and then sit at a table and they will bring it to you, or you can order food to go. When you go into this square, there is a stand which is also on the right side where they make fruit smoothies and sell mango and sticky rice. I recommend this!! The girl who was there when we went was super sweet. She made great smoothies, but what I couldn’t resist was the mango and sticky rice! It was the best price around and tasted sooo good.
Directly next to her stand on the left if you’re facing her stand is the pad Thai guy! This guy is whipping up shrimp pad Thai constantly and it is stinking delicious. For about $1 usd you can get a serving of shrimp pad Thai. The to go parcel will include some chili flakes, some whole green onions and bean sprouts, peanuts.. It is glorious. I can’t tell you how many times we ate there. It was just so good, so fresh, and SO cheap. Definitely check it out. I'd say it's worth a trip to On Nut to enjoy this little square!
