Click Play to have this post read to you!I actually hate plastic wrap. Long before I ever thought about it being wasteful I found it unnecessarily cumbersome. It always sticks to everything else but the thing I want it to stick to. UGH! What a frustrating product. In comes Abeego... What is Abeego?Abeego is a beeswax wrap that replaces your plastic wrap and more. It is sustainable and allows your food to actually breath. Sometimes when you use plastic wrap, moisture gets trapped and it causes your food to actually spoil when you’re trying to preserve it. Abeego helps you balance covering and storing your food while you allow it to breath as it naturally should so it can stay fresh as long as possible. #KeepFoodAlive is their tag and I love it. How is Abeego Sustainable? From the About Us section of the Abeego Site: “Abeego saves honey bees by saving food. Did you know the average household throws 1 in 4 produce items into the trash? Imagine the positive effect we would have on honey bees if we took good care of the fresh food they supply us with. Abeego is all natural. Every ingredient used comes from the earth and will return to it without a trace. Abeego is zero waste. “Waste” is actually a resource. From day one we adopted a waste free commitment so we make amazing twist ties and fire starters with the excess. Abeego lasts. Planned obsolescence should be obsolete. Beeswax is valuable so we make Abeego durable. You’ll add to your collection before replacing tired wraps. Abeego uses minimal energy to produce. Primarily people powered, except our awesome waxing machine that has tripled our output using the same amount of energy.” Aren’t these people awesome? What a stupid question. Clearly they are! How Do You Use Abeego Beeswax Wraps?Great Question! You simply wrap it around the produce or over the top of a bowl, plate etc and press the wrap against itself or the dish. The warmth from your hands kind of melts (?) the wax and helps it to really stick to itself. Often I will cut up an apple at night, wrap it well and stick it in the fridge for lunch the next day. The wax then gets cold in the fridge and kind of hardens and really seals up nicely! Here are a few YouTube videos from Abeego with cool how-tos: Where Can I Buy Abeego?1. Buy Abeego on the Abeego Website 2. Buy Abeego on Amazon You have a few choices in terms of size configurations. I personally recommend trying the variety pack which gives you one each of 7”, 10”, and 13”. From here you can get a feel for how Abeego will work in your daily life and then add to your collection accordingly. Pin Me!

We have been in a battle with plastic for almost decades now. We saw changes, but it isn't enough to solve the problem. It seems like there are still people who do not realize the importance of a plastic-free environment. We need to change our habits and be a better citizen by caring enough for environment. It's not much of a hassle if we will conserve and try to find better alternatives than plastic. There's always a good for betterment, we just have to find it out!
