I have a hard time getting them to look very clean when using soap nuts to wash my laundry. Tide gets them more clean, but I try to only use the soap nuts these days. It definitely helps if you rinse them well after each use. I like these cloths. They hardly take up any room, but they save so much waste of disposable make up removal wipes or even bottles of remover liquid.
