#LakeErieLove Weekend: Day 3 Jet Express to Put-in-Bay

Our Jet Express Experience

When you can't go toward the equator, but you still want to feel that island vibe, Lake Erie's Shores & Islands aren't too far away. We decided to check Put-in-Bay out for a day and since we were staying in Port Clinton we were in a prime location to catch the Jet Express ferry! 

We parked in the lot and got our tickets at the window. Fortunately the ferry that was about to leave still had space on it so we didn't have to wait around. The Ferry has several floors including indoor and outdoor seating. We initially went to the top deck, but as we neared the island the sky was looking gloomy and you could see a storm in the not-so-far distance. This caused winds to start picking up and we decided to head down to the inside area for the rest of the way. There were a lot of people on the Ferry, so I didn't really hanging outside and photograph the shore from the water like I normally would like to. Between all the people and the weather, it wasn't that ideal. So I just relaxed inside the ferry, which was also enjoyable. I think the ride is about 25 minutes and before we knew it, we were on the island!

AT the end of the day we went back to the ticket window at Put-In-Bay to get our return tickets. We could have reserved a space for our return trip when we got our tickets in the morning,but we had no idea how long we wanted to be on PIB, so we decided to just play it by ear and it worked out great. ​

7. Put-in-Bay -> Sandusky
8. Put-in-Bay -> Kelleys Island
9. Put-in-Bay -> Cedar Point
10. Kelleys Island -> Sandusky
11. Kelleys Island -> Put-in-Bay
12. Kelleys Island -> Cedar Point 
13. Cedar Point -> Sandusky
14. Cedar Point -> Put-in-Bay
15. Cedar Point -> Kelleys Island

Jet Express Prices

Okay, so Jet Express prices have a lot of options because, I mean, look at that list above -- there are so many choices and routes.. 

So your best bet is to check the Jet Express Deals Page to find what roundtrip combos, BOGOs, Family deals, etc are available for the time of your visit.
