After some wine and meat sticks at Heineman's Winery, it felt like time for a coffee. We stopped in at The South Bend Chocolate Company's Chocolate Cafe. Apparently these guy's make over 100 types of chocolate and travel around the country during the winter selling their chocolates. Now I wish I had gotten some actual chocolate here! -_- There's also a little chocolate museum on site here! We opted for a frozen mocha. They were out of one flavor, so in it's place, I added almond. An almond mocha. Mmm.. With whipped cream on top.. Mmm.. So while I thought the mocha was pretty good, I'm guessing that the actually chocolates were bomb-diggity. WHY DIDN'T I TRY THEM?! *slaps forehead* Oh well. Next time? I guess if I see these chocolates in a store near me, I will have to pick up a box to let you guys know how they are. Since you're twisting my arm and all.. tehee. Off to one side of South Bend Chocolate Company, you will notice a Biergarten! It's actually an extension of the Goat Soup And Whiskey Restaurant and offers beer, brats, dogs, bavarian pretzels, and beer cheese soup. The restaurant also has some cool options, you can see their menu here. I'm a fan of it from the name on, but I did not eat here, so ... I can't say for sure. But I'm going to say with a name like Goat Soup And Whiskey and an outdoor Biergarten, it must be good. Right? Don't let me down, Goat!! By the way, they are open in Put-in-bay in the summer, but if you go through withdrawal in the winter then you should just take a trip to Summit County, Colorado where they serve the ski resorts. Cool!! (&smart) ;) (Actually, I believe they are opened in Colorado year-round) Need Help Planning Your Trip To Lake Erie Shores & Islands?Visit the fabulous Shores & Islands website for tons of great info!
