I've been curious to try ipsy for a long time, but never went for it. I've gotten rid of quite a bit of old makeup and thought it would be a good time to try it. Anything I dont like will be removed immediately!!! Something about a little package of goodies coming each month is so exciting, a little present. But I don't want it to ruin my budget or take over all of the space I have created by decuttering recently. So begins my quest to have fun with ipsy and be balanced!
1. Margaret Dabbs London Treatment-Enriched Nail Polish in Green Daylily (£14.00)
2. Beauty For Real I-LINE 24-7 Eyeliner ($14)
3. VASANTI COSMETICS POWER OILS LIP GLOSS in SUPER MOM ($22)
4. theBalm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush ( sample size)
5. skyn ICELAND Glacial Face Wash with White Willow Bark (sample size)
Most & least excited about
There's actually nothing in this bag that I am disappointed about! (and I am surprised at that!)
Also, I think the bag itself is very cute! I am soooo pleased with this ipsy bag. It cost $10, and the value in it was fabulous in my opinion. These are all items I will be using! Well done, ipsy! ;)
I hope it's like this every month!!

Over the past couple years I have paired down my wardrobe considerably. I have probably passed on (donated, given to friends, used for DIY projects, etc) about 90% of what I originally had. It's a great feeling! Still, sometimes you want to add a couple pieces to keep things fresh.
In comes So Perla Grab bags!
Okay, so i was first introduced to So Perla a couple years ago when I saw them on the deal site Zulily. They had these adorable snap cardigans that actually looked flattering on someone petite and I loved the longer length. I couldn't make up my mind and the sale ended, but the name stuck with me. The next time they showed up on Zulily I went full steam ahead and purchased the cardigans in a bunch of colors. I wanted to get rid of my selection of mismatched cardis that were misshapen and didn't fit me right anyway. It was one of the best clothing purchases I have *ever* made. I wear these almost daily. Seriously. They were great to take traveling because I could wear them over my long sleeved UA coldgear shirt for cool London days, or my UA Victory tanks for Thai evenings.
What is a Grab Bag from So Perla?
ANYwho.... ever since falling in love with them, I have stalked the @soperla instagram, website, and zulily sales. I like to put it this way: 99% of what they sell is 100% my style! The only problem is that it is hard to choose.
So I decided to order 2 of their Grab Bags. The grab bags come with 3 shirts and cost just $14.99. Incredible deal! The shirts will be in the size you selected, but they are a surprise! I figured even if I only liked one shirt from each bag it would still be a great deal!
What Came In My So Perla Grab Bag Order?
My order really surprised me.
1. Summery yellow sheer overlay shirt with lace detail
2. Turquoise crochet v neck and hemline with tan boho shirt
3. Green Aztec kimono type cardigan
4. Dusty Pink button shirt with white polka dots
5. Vintage looking super soft white long sleeves flouncy shirt
6. Grayish-taupish long sleeves vintage flowery shirt with criss cross neckline
These are not official titles (LOL, terrible describer of clothes).
What did I think of the tops?
I was SO thrilled with this order!!
The dusty pink polka dot shirt isn't good for my skin/hair tones and wasn't totally my style. I tried it on but I know I just won't reach for it, so I put it in my giveaway bin so I can pass it on to someone who will *love* it! Cute, just not me!
The rest of the items I really like. I've worn the soft longsleeved vintage flower shirts and the green Aztec cardigan the most. It's just now warming up so I can wear the yellow top more. The turquoise one I love, it looks so beachy and boho, but I'm not sure how often I will get to wear it on the day-to-day. We'll see!!
Verdict on So Perla's Grab Bags (and So Perla in general!)
I definitely recommend you check out So Perla whether on their website or Zulily. Don't be afraid of the grab bags; embrace the grab bags!
If you do check them out on Zulily and you are new to Zulily, I'd love it if you would sign up here to support my so perla addiction! :p
Random irrelevant sidenote: I just ate a plate full of garden fresh asparagus which was delicious and the most gigantic asparagus I have ever seen in my life. 😳😳 I just felt like someone needed to know. Thanks for being that person! <3
Over the last couple months I've been trying some skincare I bought from OZ Naturals off Amazon. I have tried quite a few of their products over the years and my absolute favorite hands down is still their Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Dermafoliant. When I use this 2-3/week it seriously resurfaces my skin leaving it incredibly smooth and happy! It lasts a long time, but is something I would most definitely repurchase when I run out and something I have traveled with to the other side of the world TWICE. Even with carry-on only luggage, I needed to make space for this. (I did put it in smaller containers, but still..)
Okay wait, total ramble. That's not even one of the products I started this post about..
These are the three:
If you use the Inositol supplement, right now you can get an incredibly good deal while supplies last from the brand Nova Nutritions. The regular price for the 120 tablet bottle of 1000mg inositol is $29.99 with the sale price being $11.99.
At any rate, there are currently 4 promotions available:
Special offers and product promotions
Any one of these promotions would be great, but at the moment they are stacking?!! So if you buy 10 bottles in one transaction for original total of 119.90, you are getting 25% off, then 15% off, then 10% off then 5% off. Your final price is just $53.94 for all 10 bottles!!
Inositol has a wide range of uses including insomnia, depression, high cholesterol, diabetic nerve pain, panic disorder, schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, ADHD, autism, psoriasis, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, androgen excess, spironolactone substitute, PCOS, and the list goes on...
If this is something you use, this is a great stock up price for 1000mg tabs and I recommend getting them asap because I don't know how long the stacking discount will last!
Hope this helps someone's wallet! :)
Who's Link Anyway? & Why Did I Want His Lip Balm?
Mornings are rough. It's hard to get out of bed. It's hard to get motivated some days. And since you don't want to be a total grouch-o because you're bitter with the world for having to get our of your warm bed, a little morning humor could help.
Enter Good Mythical Morning & Good Mythical More - A couple of guys, Link & Rhett, (supported bya great crew) investigating, discussing, testing, tasting, puking, improving all manner of things to add some levity to your day.
Anyhow, when I learned about Link's Peculiarly Perfect Peanut Butter Peppermint Lip Balm... how could I not try it?
I recently got to check out a number of scarves/blankets/wraps/shawls/??? from a seller on Amazon called Dimore. My favorite two are above! I love the shades in the plaid scarf on the right and the lighweight bird scarf is the absolute best. It's so adorable!!!
Ever since I went to Japan, I have been intrigued by matcha. It's incredibly healthy for you because it is whole green tea, ground up. So if steeping green tea is healthy for you, imagine how much more benefit your body can get by consuming the whole leaf!
With cooler weather around these parts, it seemed soothing to enjoy a cup of something warm and frothy. I had already had coffee for the day and I had just ordered Enzo Organic Matcha from Amazon a few days earlier. So it was the perfect time to bust it open!
Milk Chocolate Toffee Pretzels vs Pumpkin Spice Yogurt Pretzels
Something about a salty, crunchy pretzel covered in something smooth and sweet seems just so desirable when you're rushing through the store and *starving*!
I recently treated the family to two different covered pretzels that our local Aldi's was carrying.
