I was happy with this interaction. Tieks has a great return policy that if the shoe is in original condition you can return it at any time. So if you really wear the shoe around the house exclusively to test it out you could send it back with no time limit according to their site. Hard to get a true feel just wearing around the house, but you’ll get some indication if this will work for you I think. They also have an option to return and exchange sizes if you are between 2 sizes.
Anyways, I thought the associate handled the inquiry well and offered some practical suggestions:
As I mentioned in my last post, at the end of the day I wish such a costly pair of shoes didn’t need so much up front maintenance, but it is what it is. Everyone’s feet and needs are different. But the bottom line is Tieks makes a beautiful shoe in tons of colors out of quality materials and they have very fast (same day response above!) and kind customer service. I give their service a thumbs up and I am going to keep working with these shoes since the investment has already been made. Stay tuned for the update after having these shoes for one year. The market for almost any product today is very competitive and to me customer service is what really stands out and makes me want to be a loyal customer of any given brand, service, or company that fits my current needs and budget. That being said, periodically when I reach out to companies, I would like to share my experience with their customer service in case it helps protect you from a bad situation or gives you confidence to make a necessary purchase knowing the company really backs their product or service. Obviously, the customer did not like the item she received. If I were in her position, I would feel the same thing because I don't deserve to receive such item; not brand new and already broken. The sole was not even in a good condition that is why I understand show she felt as a customer. I will surely demand for something new. Or if not granted, I will post my review online so that more people will know!
